Call for applications - AES Seeding Grant 2019
The Australian Entomological Society provides up to $20,000 for a Research Seeding Grant to provide support for cross-disciplinary collaborations of national significance in entomology. In particular, initiatives that support the annual conference by way of symposia and high-profile international collaborators are particularly favoured. Some successful applications have also produced highly cited review articles in Austral Entomology, and allowed the collection of pilot data to support subsequent grant applications by the extended team brought together by this scheme.
Applications are now open for the 2019 funding round. Of particular note is the fact that this year’s conference in Brisbane looks likely to be a combined effort between the AES, Australasian Arachnological Society and the Society of Australian Systematic Biologists. The conference and Grant therefore create unprecedented opportunities for creative and productive collaboration and, accordingly, the AES Board may consider awarding additional funding in this round.
The "short format" form available on the AES website provides the headings to be used in applications for this funding. In order to maintain simplicity and consistency the form will remain the same, but please note the above prompts in drafting applications.
All applications must be received by secretariat email@example.com by COB 28 February 2019. Successful application(s) will be announced by 31 March 2019.
